Streetlight (modified since recording)

When the lights go down in the city and shadows fade in the dark

When the mask comes off and the glamour is gone,

Do we really know who we are?

There are many roads we travel, decisions to be made.

What's it all worth anyway, if the price of a soul is paid?

There are children watching and learning by examples and rules that we set.

So innocent in believing we do the right things, and yet.

They see the world through little eyes, its a wonderful place to be.

They don't know the struggle yet, that life isn't guaranteed.

But is it too late to change?

Are we too far gone, hopelessly flawed,

Or can we stand and unite?

I believe it's not too late to lead the way,

like a Streetlight shines through the night.

If tomorrow can be a beginning

Another chance may be all that we need

If the dreamer finds a hope for mankind

And the doer makes it reality

We'll celebrate the moment, the moment that we find,

In the name of humanity no one is left behind.

We are on the street together to try and make it through

We must remember,

We're woven in the fabric of the same red, white and blue!

Is it too late to change

If another chance, another day

Let's face the fight

I believe its not too late to lead the way

It's not too late to make a better day

And be the one to shine through the night!
